Frequently asked
Why does ooolog need background location access?
ooolog uses operating-system geofences to notice when you arrive at and leave saved workout places, including while the app is closed or not in use. On iPhone this requires “Always” access; on Android it requires “Allow all the time.” ooolog monitors only places you save and never records your route.
A workout didn't log automatically. What should I check?
Check that the place is saved and enabled and that its radius covers where you actually are. On iPhone, Settings → Apps → ooolog → Location should be “Always” with Precise Location on. On Android, Settings → Apps → ooolog → Permissions → Location should be “Allow all the time” with precise location enabled.
Does ooolog track me everywhere I go?
No. iOS or Android watches small geofenced circles around places you save and tells ooolog when you cross them. Your route and continuous location are never recorded.
How do I remove a place?
Open the place from the Places tab, open its settings, and delete it. This also deletes the workout history stored for that place. On iPhone, previously shared check-ins for that place are removed too.
Are Friends and shared activity available on Android?
Not yet. Android currently keeps workout places and history on the device. Friends, follow requests, profile editing, and shared place activity are currently available on iPhone only.
Will my workout history move to another phone?
On iPhone, private iCloud sync is used when available. Android workout places and history currently stay on the device and are not restored by signing in. Do not uninstall the Android app if you need to keep that local history.
How do I delete my account and data?
Open Account in the app and choose Delete Account. That removes the signed-in profile and its associated data from ooolog's systems, then removes that profile's local data from the device. If you can no longer access the app, email support@ooolog.app and we'll help verify and complete the request.
